Mechanical Specification
For mechanical specs, we should look at about two types of
connectors that is DB-25 and DB-9. In DB-25, there are 25 pins to be had that
are used for a few of the packages, but some of the packages didn’t use the
complete 25 pins. So, the nine pin connector is made for the convenience of the
gadgets and equipment.
Now, here we are deliberating the DB-9 pin connector that's
used for connection between microcontrollers and connector. These are of deuce
types: Male Connector (DTE) & Female Connector (DCE). There are five pins

No Handshaking:

It is used to control the records drift and save you loss at
some stage in transmission.
Applications of RS232 Communication
RS232 serial communication is utilized in vintage era PCs

Nowadays, RS232 is replaced by way of superior USB.
It is also utilized in PLC machines, CNC machines, and servo
controllers because it is far less expensive.
